Job summary

C.R. England is seeking experienced truck drivers for intermodal freight beginning at the McCook, IL ramp (5200 Joliet Road). Most work is within a 65‑mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop-and-hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift. You will drive a day cab and return to the yard daily.

Some dispatches extend up to 500–600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI, which require a layover at least once per week.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
• Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life and AD+D Insurance
• PTO
• 401(k)

Job description

The rail ramp at 5200 Joliet Road in McCook, IL is where every dispatch on this intermodal fleet starts and ends. Most of your work stays within a 65-mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift.

You drive a day cab, and tractors leave and return to the yard daily. Some dispatches run longer, up to 500-600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI.

Schedule:

• Home daily with 2 consecutive days off
• Typically 10-12 hours per day, 5 days a week
• Optional 6th day available

Equipment:

• You will need your own transportation to and from the yard in McCook, IL
