Job summary

C.R. England is seeking CDL-qualified drivers for day cab assignments out of McCook, IL.

You will be home daily with two consecutive days off and operate a mix of live load and drop-and-hook freight within about 65 miles of the ramp, with some runs up to 500–600 miles round trip and regional trips that may include weekly layovers. Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, being 21 years of age or older, and at least 3 months of recent CDL experience.

Job description

The rail ramp at 5200 Joliet Road in McCook, IL is where every dispatch on this intermodal fleet starts and ends. Most of your work stays within a 65-mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift.

You drive a day cab, and tractors leave and return to the yard daily. Some dispatches run longer, up to 500-600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI.

Schedule:

• Home daily with 2 consecutive days off
• Typically 10-12 hours per day, 5 days a week
• Optional 6th day available

• You will need your own transportation to and from the yard in McCook, IL
