Job summary

C.R. England is seeking experienced truck drivers to operate the intermodal fleet starting and finishing at the McCook, IL ramp. Most runs stay within a 65-mile radius with occasional longer trips up to 500–600 miles round trip. Drivers use day cabs and return to the yard daily.

Expect a mix of live load and drop-and-hook freight, regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI with weekly layovers. Commuting to the yard is required and a strong safety culture supports all operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 21 years of age or older.
• 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience.
• Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life and AD+D Insurance.
• PTO

Responsibilities

• Operate as a driver on intermodal fleet from McCook ramp.
• Maintain a 65-mile radius of the ramp with live load and drop-and-hook freight.
• Home daily with 2 consecutive days off.
• Typically 10–12 hours per day, 5 days a week; optional 6th day.

Job description

The rail ramp at 5200 Joliet Road in McCook, IL is where every dispatch on this intermodal fleet starts and ends. Most of your work stays within a 65-mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift.

You drive a day cab, and tractors leave and return to the yard daily. Some dispatches run longer, up to 500-600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI.

Schedule:

• Home daily with 2 consecutive days off

• Optional 6th day available

• You will need your own transportation to and from the yard in McCook, IL
