Job summary

C.R. England is seeking experienced truck drivers for regional/intermodal work based out of McCook, IL. Drivers operate a day cab, with home daily schedules and a mix of live load/drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 21+ years old, and at least 3 months of recent Class A experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life and AD+D insurance, PTO and a 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Operate as an intermodal fleet driver with multiple dispatches per shift.
• Mix of live load and drop and hook freight.
• Dispatches within a 65-mile radius of the McCook yard; some 500–600 mile trips.
• Home daily with 2 consecutive days off; typical 10–12 hours/day, 5 days a week.
• Optional 6th day available.

Job description

The rail ramp at 5200 Joliet Road in McCook, IL is where every dispatch on this intermodal fleet starts and ends. Most of your work stays within a 65-mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift.

You drive a day cab, and tractors leave and return to the yard daily. Some dispatches run longer, up to 500-600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI.
