Job summary

ABF Freight, part of ArcBest, is hiring for a dock/yard position in Sauk Village, IL. You'll handle pickup and delivery of cargo, operate a forklift, and perform routine paperwork with attention to safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 1 year of tractor/trailer experience (training possible), and a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements. Union wages apply with overtime after 8 hours.

• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; training may be available.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• Minimum 21 years of age; clean driving record; able to pass DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Operate a forklift as needed and load/unload cargo.
• Inspect tractors and trailers, set up for pickups and deliveries.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
