Job summary

ABF Freight in Dallas, TX seeks a CDL-A Local Driver / Forklift Operator for full-time work. Duties include loading/unloading cargo, operating a forklift, and performing pickup and delivery within the local network. The role requires a Class-A CDL with endorsements and a safe driving record.

Union benefits are available with overtime after 8 hours per day. This position offers weekly pay and a path to higher responsibility within the local ABF network.

Qualifications

• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements is required.
• One year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience preferred; training may be available.
• Good stable work record and safe driving history (MVR) required.
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements must be met.
• Shift days/hours vary by location and may include weekends.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo and perform pickup/delivery of freight.
• Operate a forklift as needed and assist with dock duties.
• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets accurately.
• Inspect tractors/trailers and prepare units for service.
• Coordinate time and resources efficiently to meet schedule.
