Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee in Washington to learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including distribution of products to customer locations. You will be exposed to warehouse operations as part of the development program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Communicate with customers, management, and other teammates.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Document delivery receipts and temperatures using the DDH device.
• Observe driver training and gain knowledge of driving regulations and technique.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assist in unloading trailer and delivering product to customer premises.
