Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn all essential functions of the Driver role, including safe operation, delivery to customer locations, and documentation.

You will train to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months and progress to a Driver with a lucrative post-training salary. In this role you’ll start at training pay of $24.25 per hour, with full benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job tasks.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver all products as ordered.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck in a safe manner per regulations and policy.
• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operate DDH and document delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Assist driver in unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
