Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee who will learn essential functions of the Driver role, including distribution to customer locations.

You will gain exposure to warehouse operations as part of development toward becoming a licensed McLane Driver. In this role, you will start with pay during training at $24.50 per hour and progress to $75,000–$90,000 annually after training, with comprehensive Day 1 benefits and a strong support network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability and willingness to load/unload all products as ordered.
• Read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Document delivery receipts and product temps with the Driver Delivery Handheld.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and driving skills.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations and company policy.
