Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Driver Trainee to join its transportation team. You will receive paid training, hands-on coaching, and a clear path to becoming a professional McLane Driver. From day one, you’ll earn pay, benefits, and hands-on experience with a trusted leader in distribution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet eligibility requirements in policy.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English sufficiently for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor‑trailer and submit DOT inspection report.
• Document delivery receipts and product temperatures with the Driver Delivery Handheld.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and driving techniques.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations and document deliveries.
