Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Driver Trainee in the United States. You will receive paid training, hands-on coaching, and support to become a skilled McLane Driver. From day one, you’ll earn training pay and benefits, with the potential to advance to a $90k–$95k annual pay after training.

Responsibilities include operating tractor-trailers, securing loads, documenting deliveries, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess a Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Can perform basic math to verify quantities.
• Able to communicate with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely following DOT regulations and company policies.
• Attach trailers, secure loads, and document delivery receipts.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customers.
• Maintain driver logs and ensure product temperatures are within spec.
• Provide on-time, undamaged deliveries and good customer service.
