Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn and perform tractor/trailer deliveries across intrastate and interstate routes. You will participate in the training program, perform safety inspections, and support deliveries while learning DOT-compliant procedures.

Responsibilities include assisting the trainer, driving to deliver customer orders, unloading, verifying loads, and maintaining accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid CDL A and be 21+.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years; pass post-offer drug test.
• Able to lift up to 90 pounds and operate equipment.
• DOT Health Card current or valid.
• Internal candidates eligible after 1 year in program.

Responsibilities

• Complete DOT safety checks and inspections.
• Drive routes safely and deliver orders on schedule.
• Unload, verify orders, collect signatures and payments.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs.
• Assist trainer and learn dock-to-driver program.
