Performance Food Group in Springfield, MO hires an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor trailer and straight truck routes, delivering food products to diverse customers. You will work Mon-Fri, with varying start times and some overnight/overtime as needed, under safety and DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL-A and ability to obtain DOT health card.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and operate lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete driver trainee program.
• Ride with driver trainer and learn deliveries.
• Perform safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety guidelines.
• Deliver orders and obtain customer signatures.
• Unload and check freight, handle returns as required.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs per policy.
• End-of-shift housekeeping and equipment securing.
