Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and straight truck deliveries on local routes in Wisconsin. You will train, perform safety checks, and progressively handle deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include assisting a driver trainer, delivering orders to customers, unloading freight, completing required paperwork, and maintaining a clean, safe vehicle and work area.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A and be 21 years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and pass post-offer drug test.
• Able to lift 60–90 lbs and use loading equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform local deliveries safely following DOT rules.
• Assist driver trainer and complete pre/post trip safety checks.
• Unload orders at customer locations and obtain signatures.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and log hours as required.
• Move and secure freight in and out of trailers.
