Red Hawk Trucking in Louisiana is seeking a CDL-A Driver Trainee for paid training in a dry-van operation. You’ll complete onboarding with a mentor, then drive your own truck at $0.50 per mile with weekly pay and a 34-hour restart every Sunday.

Expect hotel paid, $100 toward food, and ongoing support as you pass tests: backing, pre-trip, and road test. After becoming solo, you’ll earn additional pay for top performance and for extra stops and detention.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• CDL school completed within the last 12 months.
• Up to 4 moving violations in 3 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and urine drug test.

Just passed your CDL test? This is a real first job, not a maybe. A week of onboarding, a mentor who rides with you, and then your own truck at $0.50 per mile with a 34 hour reset every Sunday.

Here Is How It Goes

• Onboarding comes first, 7 days with a skills evaluation and extra training if needed
• Your hotel is paid and you get $100 toward food
• Next comes at least 10 days on the road with a mentor, earning $75 per day
• Plan on 5 or more hours of driving each day, working through a training checklist
• Pass the backing, pre-trip and road test, and you are a solo driver with your own truck

Pay When You Are Solo

• $0.50 per mile when you run 2,000 safe miles, same as experienced drivers
• Drivers running 2,600 to 2,800 miles earn about $1,300 to $1,400 a week
• Extra 8 to 10 cents per mile weekly for top performance
• $15 per extra stop and $15 an hour detention after 2 hours
• Dry van, 100% no touch
• Roughly 70% drop and hook
• Direct customers, with freight planned 24 to 72 hours out

Home Time

• 1 to 2 weeks out, Monday through Saturday
• Sunday is always your reset day
• Take your truck home on days off
