Job summary

Red Hawk Trucking in Augusta, GA is hiring CDL-A drivers fresh out of truck driving school for a paid training program. You’ll start with a 7-day onboarding, lodging covered, a $100 meals stipend, and a mentor before going solo, earning $0.50 per mile once solo with about 2,000 safe miles and a weekly target of 2,600–2,800 miles for roughly $1,300–$1,400 per week.

Around top performers, there is a weekly bonus of 8–10 cents per mile, plus Friday direct deposit, with $15 detention after 2 hours

Qualifications

• 21+ with a current Class A CDL.
• Truck driving school finished in the last year, and no driving job since.
• Up to 4 moving violations in 3 years, zero DUI/DWI in 5 years.
• Pass a urine drug screen and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• No touch dry van, roughly 70% drop and hook.
• Planners book loads 1 to 3 days in advance from our customers.
• 1 to 2 weeks out, Monday to Saturday, with a 34 hour reset every Sunday.
• Bring the truck home on days off.

Job Type: Driving

Your CDL is brand new and every company seems to want experience you do not have yet. We hire straight out of school, put you with a mentor, and once you are solo you earn what everyone else earns: $0.50 per mile, about $1,300 to $1,400 a week at 2,600 to 2,800 miles, with Sundays off on the road.

The First Few Weeks, Day by Day

• Start with a 7 day onboarding class: paperwork, a skills check and extra practice for anything that needs work
• Lodging is handled and you get a $100 stipend for meals
• Then a mentor takes you out for a minimum of 10 days. You drive 5+ hours daily and get paid $75 a day
• Female drivers in training are paired with a female mentor
• Finish with a backing test, pre-trip and road test, and you are handed the keys to your own truck
• Starting rate is the same for rookies and veterans, $0.50 per mile at 2,000 safe miles
• Weekly bonus of 8 to 10 cents per mile if you are a top performer
• Paid every Friday by direct deposit
• $15 an hour detention after 2 hours and $15 per extra stop
