Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Driver Trainee in the United States. You will learn essential functions of the Driver role and gain exposure to warehouse operations as part of the developmental process toward becoming a McLane Driver.

During training, you earn $21.00 per hour with day one benefits, and after training you can expect earnings between $90,000 and $95,000 annually, plus comprehensive medical/dental/vision, 401(k) and other programs. Join us to advance a career in distribution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect equipment pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Use Driver Delivery Handheld and document deliveries and temperatures.
• Train with Driver Trainer to learn regulations and driving techniques.
• Maintain driver logs and assist in unloading and delivering products.
