Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join our food distribution team. You will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck across intrastate and interstate routes, with home daily schedules and potential overnight travel, while delivering products in good condition.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, DOT compliance, and a clean MVR. You will start at 3:00 am Monday through Friday, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including health, 401(k) matching, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift and move freight up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers and co-workers.
• Perform safety checks and DOT inspections on tractor/trailer.
• Deliver and unload food products to customers on schedule.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Complete required paperwork and logs accurately.
• Ensure equipment is secure and trailer is properly loaded.
