Job summary

Cheney Brothers is hiring an experienced CDL-A Driver to deliver food and food service products. You will operate tractor-trailer or straight truck on various routes, perform safe loading, unloading, and delivery to customers, and maintain DOT compliance. Home daily with a shift starting around 3:00 am.

Average annual pay ranges from $80,000 to $90,000, with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth as part of a team supporting America's food distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Delivers and unloads food products according to route.
• Collects payment where required and obtains signatures.
• Completes required paperwork and logs hours of service.
