Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to support its food distribution network. The role involves home daily routes, intrastate and interstate travel, and delivering products to customers with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety inspections (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensures equipment safety standards.
• Drives tractor-trailer or straight truck and delivers/ unloads food products to customers as scheduled.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly; obtains customer signatures.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the delivery operation.
