Job summary

American Driver LLC in Mesa, AZ is hiring entry-level CDL drivers for western regional runs. Training included; you’ll ride with a mentor, then go solo with earnings starting at $1,000 weekly and rising to $1,100–$1,200 on average, driving 2,200–2,400 miles weekly.

Home every three weeks and weekly pay. To qualify: age 21+, Class A CDL with 120 hours or 6 months’ recent experience, no DUI/DWI in 10 years and few moving violations, and ability to pass a DOT medical plus hair/urine drug screen.

Job description

East Valley drivers: western regional runs, never more than three days out, nothing east of the Mississippi.

Fresh out of CDL school? This position takes new drivers, and we will walk you through every step.

On the road

Lanes include the Midwest and the open roads of Texas, but no East Coast.

Weekends are part of the schedule.

Pay and miles

• $850 a week from your first training day
• $1,000 weekly minimum for 3 months once you go solo
• $1,100 to $1,200 average per week
• 2,200 to 2,400 miles weekly
• Home every three weeks
• Monthly performance bonus
• You get paid weekly

Straight answers for new drivers

• "Will I be gone for months?" No. Runs are never more than 3 days and you are home every three weeks.
• "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months.
• "My school was short. Does it count?" If you have at least 120 hours from a CDL school, you qualify.
• "What if I have a problem on the road?" You are not on your own. Trips are planned for you and your driver leader picks up the phone.

What the first weeks look like

1. A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and MVR together with you.
2. You attend orientation (2 days max). The hotel is paid, your one-way bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for orientation when hired.
3. You spend 4 to 6 weeks driving with a mentor, learning to back, plan trips, keep logs and fuel. That earns you $850 a week.
4. You are assigned your own late-model truck (1.5 years old on average), 10-speed or automatic. For 3 months your weekly pay will not go under $1,000.
