Job summary

American Driver LLC is offering a structured CDL training program for new drivers in Louisiana. Trainees earn weekly pay during training and progress to full solo pay as they graduate, with solid miles and steady freight behind them.

New CDL grads with 120+ hours or 6 months recent experience can join; drivers move to their own truck after 4–6 weeks with a mentor, and weekly pay continues throughout. Home time is every two weeks.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A from state of residence, 21+ years old.
• New CDL grad with 120+ hours or 6 months of experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 2 years.
• No DUI/DWI in past 10 years.
• DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling; you are paid weekly.
• Upon completion, you will be assigned your own truck (avg. 1.5 years old, automatic or 10-speed).
• First 3 months solo pay will not drop below $1,000 per week.
• Loads are planned for you and driver leader is available for support.
• You will be home every two weeks.

The money

• Paid every week during training
• $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
• $1,200 to $1,800 a week once solo
• 1,800 to 2,900 miles a week
• $15 stop pay
• Weekly direct deposit

Your week

Everything east of Denver except the Northeast. A mix of drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks, then home for your reset.

From CDL school to your own truck

1. A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
2. Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.
3. 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid every week.
4. Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

Straight answers for new drivers

• How often will I see home? Every two weeks.
• Will one ticket disqualify me? Not by itself. Up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years is accepted.
• What if I have a problem on the road? Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.
• Does my CDL school count? If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
• What if my first solo weeks are slow? You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.
