Job summary

American Driver LLC in North Houston is seeking new CDL holders for regional runs across TX and surrounding states. You’ll train with a mentor and earn $850 weekly during training, with a guaranteed $1,000 weekly for the first 3 months solo.

Expect 1,700–2,000 miles weekly, home every two weeks, $15 per extra stop, and weekly pay direct to your bank. Lanes include TX, OK, LA, MS, AR, TN, AL, KS, MO, IA and IL.

Qualifications

• New driver with a 120-hour school certificate, or 6 months of recent experience.
• Record: no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no DUI/DWI in 10 years.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Regional runs across TX, OK, LA, MS, AR, TN, AL, KS, MO, IA and IL.
• Escort and deliver with a mentor during training, then solo driving.

What you earn

• Paid $850 per week in training
• Guaranteed $1,000 a week for your first 90 days solo

Straight answers for new drivers

• "How often will I see home?" You are home every two weeks and runs often bring you back through the house.
• "Will my pay drop when training ends?" No. You have a $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first 3 months solo.
• "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
• "What if I get stuck or lost on the road?" Your loads are planned for you and your driver leader is one phone call away.

From application to your own truck

After you apply, a recruiter calls to look over your license and record with you. Next comes orientation, 2 days at most, with the hotel paid, your one-way bus ticket reimbursed and $300 for attending once you are hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, trip planning, logs and fueling, and you are paid $850 a week while you learn. When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, from a fleet about 1.5 years old on average with 10-speeds and automatics. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
