Job summary

American Driver LLC in Kissimmee is seeking CDL graduates for regional freight along the East Coast. Home every two weeks and a straightforward path from training to solo driving are offered.

Training lasts 4–6 weeks with a mentor. Pay starts at $650 weekly during training, then a $1,000 weekly guaranteed for the first 3 solo months, averaging about 2,500 miles weekly. Pay is $0.55–$0.65 per mile with weekly pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What the job looks like

Loads run the eastern seaboard and do not go far west.

Mix of drop and hook, live loads and preloads.

Money and miles

• $650 a week from your first training day
• A $1,000 weekly floor for your first 3 solo months
• $1,200 average per week
• $0.55 per mile to start, up to $0.65 with experience
• About 2,500 miles weekly
• Home every two weeks
• $15 per extra stop, performance bonus
• You get paid weekly

Questions new drivers ask us

• "How often will I see home?" You are home every two weeks.
• "Will my pay drop when training ends?" No. You have a $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first 3 months solo.
• "My backing is rough." That is normal. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you run solo.
• "My school was short. Does it count?" If you have at least 120 hours from a CDL school, you qualify.

How we get you from CDL school to solo

• Call: we talk through your license and record first. No surprises later.
• Orientation: up to 2 days, hotel covered, one-way bus fare reimbursed, $300 after you are hired.
• Training: 4 to 6 weeks riding with a mentor who helps with backing, logs, fuel stops and route planning. Pay is $650 weekly.
• Solo: your own truck, fleet average age 1.5 years, 10-speeds and automatics. $1,000 weekly guarantee for 3 months.

You will need

You must be 21 or older with a Class A CDL. New drivers need at least 120 hours from a CDL school; otherwise, 6 months of recent experience. We accept up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no DUI/DWI in the last 10. You will also pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test.
