Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Pick-up and Delivery Driver to safely operate commercial motor vehicles. You will load, unload, and move freight at the terminal, maintain shipment records, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities to advance within a multi-regional carrier. The position requires a Class A CDL with HazMat and double/triple endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years or older.
• Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers' License with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements.
• One year driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Pass ACT road test.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock.
• Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts and tally sheets.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other work related duties as assigned.
