FedEx Freight is hiring a CDL A driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will support the selling process and communicate with dispatch and customers throughout routes.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, securing loads, and completing required documentation. The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds and adherence to hazardous materials regulations.

Qualificações

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic restriction allowed).
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience in the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMCSA 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds several times a week.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples and straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convert dollies as needed.
• Move freight with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports; communicate with dispatch.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and DOT procedures.
• Collect freight charges and maintain related records.
• Talk with customers to arrange pick-ups/deliveries and generate new business.
