Job summary

Gard aWorld Federal Services LLC is seeking a CCTV/Control Room Operator to monitor CCTV and control room systems in a high-security immigration facility. Responsibilities include observing detainee and staff activity, reporting incidents, and supporting emergency responses.

Must have 1+ year security experience and hold a Texas unarmed security license. The role requires vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of unarmed security experience.
• Active Texas state unarmed security license required.
• CCTV/security operations experience preferred (security, law enforcement, military, detention).
• Must navigate multiple screens and maintain focus for extended periods.
• Ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must pass background check and drug screen; 21+ years old; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live/recorded CCTV footage to detect unusual or suspicious activity.
• Operate control room systems: cameras, alarms, access control, comms equipment.
• Maintain awareness of facility operations; report incidents or security concerns.
• Document incidents and activities in logs and reports per procedures.
• Coordinate with custody staff to support safe facility operations.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies per established protocols.
• Conduct routine system checks of CCTV and control room equipment.
• Maintain records of system activity and incidents.
