Health & Human Services Commission in Texas seeks a CCSE Unit Supervisor I to lead a CCSE team, supervise casework, and ensure program efficiency. You will mentor staff, review cases, and coordinate service delivery while adhering to HHSC policies.

The role requires strong written communication, staff leadership, and willingness to travel up to 30%. Eligible candidates may work on-site with occasional telework considerations.

Formación

• Prefer experience in the Community Care Services department within the last two years.
• Prefer experience supervising, serving as an acting supervisor, and/or experience as a mentor in the CCSE program area.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing as demonstrated on the application.
• Application indicates the willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
• Be familiar with and follow all HHSC policies and procedures relating to job performance and work rules.
• Selects, manages, and develops staff through conferences, mentoring, training, and performance appraisal. (30%)
• Reads and evaluates case records to assess the quality of casework and identify training needs. (20%)
• Assigns and supervises the work of others (15%)
• Prepares management reports, analyzes information to keep management informed and responds to issues. (10%)
• Monitors service delivery to ensure effective and efficient program operations; consults staff on case issues and conducts unit meetings. (10%)
• Interprets policies, procedures, rules, regulations, or standards to others. (5%)
• Analyzes and redistributes workload to improve timeliness and accuracy. (5%)
• Develops and maintains working relationships with management, agency staff, community partners, other state/federal agencies. (5%)
• Knowledge of Community Care programs.
• Knowledge of interviewing techniques to obtain personal information, to make inquiries and to resolve conflicting statements.
• Knowledge of resources that serve people who are older or have a disability.
• Skill in resolving service delivery problems by applying policies and practices.
• Ability to present information regarding program objectives to clients and staff.
• Ability to evaluate case records according to program standards.
