Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join Ascension Premier Staffing - Cath Lab. The role supports diagnostic and treatment procedures across multiple facilities, with a 40-hour workweek and various shifts.

You will review medical histories, assist with procedures, interpret results, and ensure lab integrity and safety, including lockout/tagout procedures. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience or associate/technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Cardiovascular credentials (CCI/ARRT/ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures and prepare testing sites.
• Interpret test results, monitor for abnormal findings before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure lab and equipment are clean, orderly, and functional; report malfunctions.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures, reviewing medical histories, and preparing testing sites.

• Interpreting test results, correcting recording errors, and monitoring patients for abnormal findings before, during, and after procedures.

• Ensuring the lab and equipment are clean, orderly, and functional, including reporting malfunctions and performing lock/tag-out procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Approved Local Exception preferred.

Education and Work Experience:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• 1+ year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
