Job summary

Ascension Health in Appleton, WI is hiring for a position in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The full-time role involves evaluating patients, performing diagnostic procedures, and ensuring quality imaging while maintaining safety and departmental standards.

You will work a 36-hour week across four 10-hour shifts with on-call requirements for weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Licensure and credentialing in radiology and sonography are required within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire, per American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
• Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS with correct markers and data.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department including rooms, storage areas, and dressing/film areas.

Location: Appleton, WI

Facility: St. Elizabeth

Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Schedule: Full-time days | 36 hours per week | M-F 7:00am-5:30pm four 10-hour shifts per week | weekday, weekend, & holiday call as needed | current call is every 5th or 6th weekend and one holiday per year

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.

• Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.

• Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.

• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• Cath, IR, or EP experience preferred.
