Job summary

Ascension Premier Staffing - Cath Lab is seeking qualified personnel in Texas for a Cardiovascular Technician role. You will assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures, review patient histories, and prepare testing sites.

Maintain equipment, monitor patients, and report any anomalies during all procedure phases. Minimum certifications include BLS with 30 days, plus one or more CCI/ARRT/ARDMS credentials; advanced life support preferred.

Qualifications

  • BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date, accepted by AHA or ARC.
  • CCI Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed prior to hire date.
  • CCI Cardiographic Tech credentialed prior to hire date.
  • ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) credentialed prior to hire date.
  • ARDMS Cardiovascular Sonography credentialed prior to hire date.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).
  • Approved Local Exception preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures, reviewing medical histories, and preparing testing sites.

  • Interpreting test results, correcting recording errors, and monitoring patients for abnormal findings before, during, and after procedures.

  • Ensuring the lab and equipment are clean, orderly, and functional, including reporting malfunctions and performing lock/tag-out procedures.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Approved Local Exception preferred.

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

  • 1+ year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
