Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Cath Lab Tech (ARRT-R required) to join our Cardiology team on a full-time daytime schedule. You will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, scrub in, monitor real-time hemodynamics, and support physicians to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements include ARRT-R and state licensure, BCLS and ACLS within onboarding, and strong computer skills. Prior Interventional Radiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R licensure required; state license required at hire.
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire; ACLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures with physicians.
• Scrub in, maintain sterile technique, ensure room readiness.
• Monitor real-time hemodynamics affecting patient outcomes.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and overall room operations.
• Support training and collaboration within the team for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
2. Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
5. Proficient computer skills.
