Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab professional to join the team.

You will scrub and monitor, support diagnostic/therapeutic cardiac procedures, with on-call duties, full-time days, 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license is required.
• Prior Interventional Radiology department experience preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Scrub procedures and monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepare procedure room and ensure instrument availability and readiness.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities; train new staff.

Schedule: Full-Time, Day (7:00am - 3:30pm)

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
2. Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
3. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
5. Proficient computer skills.
