Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join the Cardiology team. You will scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data in the cardiovascular lab, ensuring the room is prepared and supplies are available for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The role requires ARRT-R with RCIS, BCLS and ACLS, and prior cardiovascular lab experience. This full-time days position includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for on-call

Qualifications

• ARRT-R and RCIS certifications required.
• Cardiovascular lab experience preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire and ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills in hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic/hemodynamic data in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure the procedure room is prepared and instruments stocked.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures and participate in staff activities.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $34.00 to $49.29. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
