Job summary

Ascension's Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a skilled professional to join the Cardiac Cath Lab as a full-time, day shift team member. You will participate in diagnostic and interventional pediatric cardiac imaging, support the interdisciplinary team, and help ensure patient safety during high‑acuity procedures.

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact patient care in the Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab by performing life‑saving diagnostic and interventional cardiac imaging procedures for infants, children and adolescents.
• Lead critical care coordination during complex pediatric cardiac procedures to provide essential diagnostic aid and support the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer contrast media and medications accurately while monitoring pediatric patient vitals to ensure safety and clinical quality during fast‑paced emergency interventions.
• Support the Radiologist and clinical team by maintaining precise technical parameters and clinical documentation within a rapid‑response pediatric cardiovascular setting.
• Implement strict radiation safety protocols and quality improvement standards to ensure operational excellence and superior patient outcomes in high‑pressure situations.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Previous experience in a Cath Lab preferred, Pediatric specific experience is a plus
