St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Procedure Prep/Recovery unit to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients.

You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, while documenting care and outcomes. You will collaborate with physicians, explain procedures to patients, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner under

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required (Texas or Compact with Texas within 90 days)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required by policy
• ADN is required; BSN preferred

Responsabilités

• Complete a patient assessment upon admission
• Reassess and document changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and document responses
• Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
• Communicate patient changes to the physician
• Manage patients with potential life-threatening dysrhythmias or hemodynamic changes according to orders and emergency equipment
