Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cath Lab Prep and Recovery team as a PRN role. You will evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, educate families, and ensure safety through meticulous planning and universal protocol adherence.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, manage IV therapy, and participate in surgical site verification. On-call duties apply during select non-business hours.

Qualifikationen

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure required.
• Associate/Bachelor degree or RN Diploma required.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including providers and surgeons.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership in care delivery.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up.
