Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Round Rock, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including assessment, medication administration, and post-procedure monitoring. The role requires an RN license, an Associate Degree, and ACLS/BCLS certification within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license and active registration.
• Associate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Perform patient assessment and document changes in condition.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Monitor patient status pre, during, and post procedure.
• Communicate changes to physicians promptly.
• Manage patients with dysrhythmias or hemodynamic changes per physician orders.
• Explain procedures to patients and assess understanding.
