Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Jacksonville, Florida cardiology unit. You will coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement comprehensive care plans.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, active RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with cardiology and EMR experience. This on-site role features varied shifts and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Current RN license per state requirements.
BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC.
Experience with cardiology procedures and flexible hours.
Strong communication, teamwork and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments pre and post Cardiology procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
Provide education to patients and families regarding cardiac procedures and post-procedural care.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to changes promptly.
Assist in TEE/cardioversion and Tilt table procedures; maintain sterile environment.
Ensure infection control and maintain a safe patient care environment.
Document patient care accurately and timely.
