Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality cardiac nursing care across the care continuum. The role emphasizes direct patient care, family education, and transitions of care within the Mayo Nursing Care Model.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and strong communication. Flexibility for varied shifts, on-call, and weekend coverage is required; sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• RN license in applicable state with BLS and ACLS current.
• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing or eligible for certification per hiring.
• One year of RN or Mayo Clinic LPN experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments pre and post cardiology procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families on cardiac procedures and post-care.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly.
• Assist in TEE/cardioversion and related nursing duties.
• Ensure infection control and a safe care environment.
• Document care accurately and promptly.
