Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate cardiology care, provide patient education, and support transitions of care. You will work within the Mayo Nursing Care Model and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Candidate must hold a current RN license and BSN preferred; experience in cardiology or critical care and proficiency with electronic medical records are desired. Flexible hours and shift rotation are part of this role.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and degree requirements.
• BSN preferred with ADN acceptable?
• Experience in cardiology or critical care is a plus.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments pre- and post Cardiology procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding cardiac procedures and post-procedural care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes.
• Assist in TEE/cardioversion and Tilt table procedures with sterile technique.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
