Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under physician supervision. This on-site role requires a science-based degree, ACLS, RCIS within 18 months, and ARRT/TX RT(R) if RCIS is not held.

The position emphasizes patient monitoring, imaging equipment operation, procedure support, and teamwork in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred).
• Current AHA Advanced Cardio Life Support certification (ACLS).
• RCIS certification within eighteen (18) months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures; interprets dysrhythmias and EKGs and operates physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under direction of physician.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as a circulator; monitors patient status and handles supplies.
• Transports patients to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab; maintains sterile technique and inventories supplies.
