Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision. The role involves assisting with imaging, monitoring, and patient care during procedures.

Required qualifications include an accredited degree, active ACLS, RCIS within six months, and ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS. Prior teaching and staff orientation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• RCIS certification within six months of hire; ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures; interprets basic/advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs; operates physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician as scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as circulator; monitors patient status and handles supplies.
• Transports patient to and from department; cleans and stocks cath lab; maintains sterile technique.
