Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. The role focuses on technical aspects and assisting physicians in the cath lab.

The position requires an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a science field or equivalent healthcare experience, ACLS, RCIS within six months, and ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• RCIS certification within six months of date of hire
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Interprets basic dysrhythmia and EKGs while operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment.
• Monitors patient status as a circulator and assists with diagnostic procedures.
• Transports patients to and from the cath lab.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab; maintains sterile technique.
• Orders supplies for cath lab and demonstrates inventory control.
• Post procedure safety removes arterial and/or venous sheath and maintains hemostasis.
