Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. The role requires an associate or bachelor's degree with healthcare experience, current ACLS, RCIS within six months, or ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS.

The position involves teaching, monitor and scrub duties, imaging equipment operation, patient transport, and maintaining sterile technique in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree or commensurate healthcare experience is required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification is required.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) credentials are acceptable in place of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interpreting EKGs and pressures.
• Assists physician as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with circulator duties, monitors patient status during procedures, and hands supplies as needed.
• Transports patients to and from the department and maintains sterile technique.

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience

RCIS certification

AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
