Job summary

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree or commensurate healthcare experience is required.
ACLS certification (AHA) is required.
RCIS certification must be completed within 18 months of hire or ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS.
Current RCIS certification preferred or within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
Assists physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures by interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs; operates physiologic recorder and interprets pressures and waveforms.
Assists physician as scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
Assists as circulator by monitoring patient status and handing supplies; transports patients to/from the department.
Cleans and stocks cath lab; maintains sterile technique; troubleshoots equipment problems.
