Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. The role supports monitoring, scrub, and circulation duties in the cath lab, and helps with patient transport and lab setup.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification within eighteen (18) months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures by interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with some diagnostic procedures as a circulator by monitoring patient status and handling supplies.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab and maintains sterile technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and dosages used.
• Prepares lab for procedure and maintains sterile technique.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems.
