Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree with science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) accepted in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech and operates physiologic recorder during cath lab procedures.
• Assists physician as scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists as circulator, monitors patient status, and handles supplies during procedures.
• Transporting patients to and from the department.
• Cleans and stocks the cath lab and maintains sterile technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, dosages, and procedure theory.
• Orders supplies and manages inventory; troubleshoots equipment problems.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience

Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification

RCIS certification within eighteen (18) months of date of hire

ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
