Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. You will assist with lab setup, patient monitoring, and procedural support in a fast-paced cath lab.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, scrubbing and circulator duties, preparing the lab, and ensuring sterile techniques are followed. Strong clinical credentials and RCIS/ARRT eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certified within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during procedures in the cath lab by interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with some diagnostic procedures as a circulator by monitoring patient status and handing supplies to the scrub tech.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab and maintains sterile technique.

RCIS certification within 6 months

AHA ACLS certification
