Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Cath Lab technologist to support invasive cardiology, vascular and EP procedures. The role involves preparing equipment, monitoring hemodynamics, and assisting during complex diagnostic and interventional cases.

The incumbent will apply advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation, sedation, and patient safety while collaborating with Cardiologists and the care team. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification (AHA)
• ACLS within 1 year (AHA)
• ARRT Radiography certification and Illinois radiologic license

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists in invasive coronary/vascular/EP procedures, set up and operate imaging equipment
• Understand hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy/physiology, and related equipment
• Administer moderate sedation following policy and protocol
• Interpret EP concepts, fluoroscopy anatomy and physiology for procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and sterile field setup for each procedure
• Document procedure details, patient response, medications and complications
